Local Issues

Through our contacts with local authorities and other organisations in the county, we represent your views on numerous issues affecting Cumbrian businesses.

We are keeping the pressure on the local authorities regarding the serious traffic problems affecting businesses throughout the county; working on planning issues wherever members have problems; pressing for more affordable housing and for scheduled services to Carlisle Airport; working in partnership to develop solutions to crime and anti-social behaviour problems, skills shortages and recruitment issues.
