When the Going Gets Tough
2008 was a difficult and worrying time for many businesses with the beginning of 2009 proving to be no easier. To help businesses not only survive but thrive, Invest in Cumbria and Cumbria Chamber of Commerce held ‘When the Going Gets Tough’ events to help businesses work together to tackle the challenges and emerge in the strongest possible shape.
The purpose of ‘When the Going Gets Tough’ was to offer top tips, practical advice and interactive sessions on finance, marketing and HR including:
- Finding out how to strengthen your finances
- Making the most of the business that’s out there
- Managing and motivating your staff through these tough times – including what to do if you need to make cuts
- Getting the best when working with the media
And much more… with input from a range of businesses including Dodd & Co, Nat West, CN Group, ACAS, Osprey Communications and Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
To help as many businesses as possible, we’ve developed a support pack which includes presentations, practical hints and tips, as well as additional sources of help – click on the relevant link below to find out more.
